Dazzle Escape

Deception is an act to transmit beliefs that are not true or at least not the whole truth. It involves distraction and camouflage, where it obscures and breaks up the visual boundary of the object.

Half truths  are meant to deceive through hiding.

Disguising your appearance to give the impression of being someone or something else you aim to dazzle to escape. It’s a distraction to remove someone’s attention from the truth.

An escape from reality can also be an escape from lies and betrayal.

“…then she removed her skin and was reborn.”

Dazzle Escape by Enriqué Tabone was one of six works in a collective exhibition by emerging women artists at Lascaris Wharf, February-March 2010. The other artists in their exhibition were Elisa von Brockdorff, Romina Delia, Jasmina Relijc, Teresa Sciberras, and Christine X.
