After exploring a small number of datasets, Tabone chose to focus on prehistoric female figurines held by Heritage Malta at the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta and the Ġgantija Archaeological Park in Gozo.
In Naked Data, she presents work through two very different media: video art and a delicate plexiglass structure. Starting out with the video production built around her data visualisation work on the Heritage Malta collection in Valletta, she proceeded to make a physical object from two plexiglass rods. Both the video and the plexiglass object echo aesthetic features presented as data art, as well as one or two of the female figurines within the Heritage Malta collection exhibited at the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta.
This work was included in an exhibition on the theme of digital sustainability at the Stanley Picker Gallery curated by Bill Balaskas, associated with DRHA 2022, held at Kingston University, London.
This followed on from initial work on the same theme presented at the 2021 edition of the DRHA Conference, which was held at Humbolt University of Berlin.
